CfCC 1st Annual Family Law Mental Health Summit

I am proud to announced that the Center for Child Counseling is hosting their 1st Annual Family Law Mental Health Summit at the Kelsey Theater (Lake Park, Florida) in January 2019.

All the details are currently be working out, but we expect it to be 5.0 CLE hours.

The focus of the summit will be to educate family law attorneys on current mental health issues and create a trauma informed legal community.  The primary focus this year will be the impact of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE’s) on children in a family law case.

100% of the proceeds from the event will be donated to the Center for Child Counseling for which I have the pleasure of serving on the Board of Directors.  The Center for Child Counseling is dedicated to helping children who have suffered from trauma, and creating a trauma informed community.

To increase the success of this fundraiser we are looking for sponsors to help underwrite the cost of facilities, lunch and snacks.  We have set the sponsorship level at a tax deductible contribution of $500 which will include being in all materials, a big shout out at the event, and one full registration.  For $750 you can be a “lunch sponsor”, set up a table if you want and address the participants for a few minutes before lunch.  Full disclosure, registration is estimated to be $200 early bird, $250 regular.  We are keeping the registration costs low to encourage attendance and at the same time providing a meaningful CLE with lunch.

Now more than ever, we have to remove the stigma associated with mental health problems so we have a healthier society.  I believe this will be a great CLE and will benefit a great CAUSE, and hope you will help support my next “big” project.
