Attorney Profile

Eddie Stephens

Eddie Stephens, a sixth-generation Floridian, is a partner in Stephens & Stevens, PLLC, and one of Palm Beach County’s most respected family law attorneys. Board Certified in Marital and Family Law, Eddie specializes in high-conflict, high-asset divorce litigation. He has earned the AV® Preeminent™ Peer Review Rating by Martindale-Hubbell, reflecting the highest standards of professional excellence and integrity.

With more than 25 years of courtroom experience, Eddie focuses on complex domestic matters including equitable distribution, business valuation, child support and alimony, parenting plan disputes, relocation, post-judgment litigation, same-sex family issues, and prenuptial and postnuptial agreements. Having tried hundreds of high-conflict divorce cases in Palm Beach County, Eddie brings unmatched strategic insight and steady leadership to every client. He also oversees a dynamic team of attorneys with diverse experience levels and billing rates to meet a wide range of client needs.

Eddie is widely recognized for integrating trauma-informed practices into his advocacy—an approach featured by the Palm Beach Post highlighting his commitment to understanding the emotional and psychological impact of family conflict on both clients and children. This perspective deepens his ability to guide families through litigation with clarity, compassion, and long-term stability in mind.

As a divorced father of two, Eddie understands firsthand what is at stake for the families he represents. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Center for Child Counseling, Inc., a leading organization in trauma-responsive care, and on the Board of Governors for Leadership Palm Beach County.

Eddie’s community impact has been recognized through multiple honors, including the Family Law Section Alberto Romero Making a Difference Award (2017), the Leadership Palm Beach County Leadership Excellence Award (2018), and the Families First of Palm Beach County Harriet Goldstein Award (2019). Beyond the courtroom, he is an author, lecturer, and devoted community leader who supports numerous civic and charitable initiatives.

His personal interests—Jiu Jitsu, yoga, cooking, philanthropy, and time with his family—ground him. Eddie is happily married to Jacquie and the proud father of Christopher and Matthew. Together, they call Palm Beach, Florida home.
