A few months ago I was selected by The Palm Beach Post and USA TODAY to participate in the Storytellers Project.
On March 9, more than 150 people gathered theater to hear live stories about “Growing Up” from 5 storytellers (including me). The audience laughed, and cried and remembered what it was like to be part of a community that supports and values one another.
This endeavor is based on one simple truth: that there are experiences we all share and that we grow closer – as people and as a community – when we share them. In short, we find common ground.
My “story” began as a humorous tale of my step-daughter learning an important life lesson. After working with professional writers for several sessions it expanded To include why I love being a divorce lawyer.
